Devon Meat

A new website and warehouse inventory management system for a growing beef and lamb exporter

Growing an export market for quality beef and lamb

Devon Meat is one of a small number of local abattoirs accredited to export meat to the GCC countries. The new website was built from the ground up to focus on the company's expanding export market, presenting Devon Meat's quality beef and lamb to buyers in Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

A warehouse inventory management system built for precision

Alongside the website, we designed a warehouse inventory management system that traces both consumable and fixed assets with pinpoint accuracy. When a job card is issued, every consumable and tool required for the job is logged against it. Consumables are automatically deducted from existing inventory, while fixed asset tools, such as electric drills, are tracked to ensure they are returned to the warehouse once a job card is completed.

Tracking cost, time, and stock down to the last screw

The system also tracks costing per technician against the time taken to complete maintenance jobs, giving management clear visibility into labour efficiency. Reporting ranges from the high-level figures management wants to see, right down to knowing exactly how many 2mm self-tapping screws are in stock.

Much more than an inventory count

This is just a glimpse of what the system can do. It was designed to grow with Devon Meat's operational needs, giving the business the same level of control over its warehouse and maintenance operations as it now has over its export market.
